These are my final four photographic compositions that will be presented in the exhibition. I will be handing in the fifth composition at the hand-in date as an extra (looked better to be displayed as a set of four and these were my most successful).
I called this series "Confidence" as a play on words. Young girls think that things like makeup and drinking give them confidence when in fact they can destroy the way they feel about themselves. I will write a small caption to accompany this set in the exhibiton so people understand what it's about. I am hoping to install LED's in the frames or use a light source in the exhibition to give them life. I am still trying to figure this out and it will depend on the space I get if I can do it or not (I will need a way to weave cords or cables out the back of my panel to be plugged in).
Overall, I am really happy with how my idea has developed and the finals I have come up with. I wanted to do something a little different with my photographs and I think that I have achieved this in a way that really relates to the theme. I haven't really done a lot of photography in the past so it was good to learn some new things and come up with something I'm proud of.
